honest day 4

Something I have to forgive someone for.

ok. So I just might have to work on this one. Forgiveness is something I do not do easily. My tendancy is to move on, but I never forget and I sure don't forgive freely. I should say that this applies to extreme circumstances that have occurred in my life, and is the exception, NOT the rule. I have high expectations of myself and the people I have in my life. 99% of the time, I am flexible and understanding, but that one percent is where forgiveness come in. No, I am not going to publicly discuss my issues, but suffice it to say that I am aware and Im gonna work on this one.... someday. But today isn't the day. :)

honest day 3

Something I have to forgive myself for.

Ok. This is a more difficult topic to discuss. Especially publicly. I have made many mistakes in my life- who hasn't? Some I learned from, some I am still in the process of learning. I believe that lessons repeat again and again in your life until you "get it". Then you move on to the next lesson. So forgiveness doesn't really fit into this scenario. Have I done things I wish I hadn't? sure. But those lessons have molded me into who I am and I meet the next challenge. I am hard on myself- sometimes to a fault, but I know that I am here to learn and to grow. So mistakes are just part of the process- forgiveness isn't necessary.

honest day 2

Something I love about myself.

hmmm... I guess there are two things I really like about myself. Firstly, I really like the fact that I have a continuous dialogue with God in my heart. I mean I feel like I am constantly talking with Him in some way or another. Talking about my troubles, my fears, my hopes and dreams. But most of all, I speak of my gratitude to Him for all I have and am blessed with. I continually speak to my gratitude for things, people, events, family, etc.,etc. I know not everyone does that, and I like that I do.

Secondly, I like that I am a creative person. I love doing crafts and I can recreate or create just about anything I want to. Although I do not allow myself the time to create much because "life" gets in the way, my creativity is something I cherish about myself, and I hope to do for the rest of my life.

honest 30- day 1

Firstly, I really dislike starting blogging on a negative note, but I am truly going to try to make it through all 30 days, which means I cant quit before I get started. ha.
I suppose the thing I dislike most about myself are my constant insecurities that creep up on me each and every day. I am always beating myself up for something. My weight, my home, my job, my mothering, my relationships with family, friends, God. I am never good enough, at anything. I push myself to exhaustion and still I beat myself for not doing things right, or how I could've, should've, would've. If I were only more intelligent, wittier, skinnier, more organized, etc, etc, etc. It never ends. As I write this, I am thinking I should make this post funnier... more enjoyable and interesting for others to read. ugh. I just can't win.

Meltdown

Being a full time teacher, wife and mommy keep me bretty busy. I just finished teaching summer school and am finally able to stop for a minute and look around/catch my breath.
This morning my hubby brought our daughter to go get 2nd birthday pics of Angie. I found an adorable dress yesterday at--- whoknewit--- Kohls, for 6 buckaroos! Anywhoo, we got to the pic place and I remembered to bring some props because I really hate the old, dirty and ugly ones they have at the studio. I was stoked to get some really terriffic pics that represent Angies spirit. Everything was going great.... until.... Angie decided that she wasn't going to play smile for the crazy lady behind the camera anymore. Ugh. Meltdown. It is important to note that it is RARE that Angie cries, so between her daddy and I, we tried everything we could think of to get her back on track- to no avail. It should be noted, that all through our plight to get her happy and smiling, the crazy cameralady kept on taking pictures of a red-eyed sobbing little girl. What was she thinking?? Oh well, at least we tried, and I will say that all was not lost, she did get a few gorgeous pics.

The Beginning of Time

I have been kicking around the idea of starting a blog, ever since the beginning of time. I guess today is the day. I am not sure I have anything of interest to say, but I will start by at least telling you that I am a survivor, I am a spiritual soul, I am deeply connected to my family, and to God. I like to say I have a “red line” to God. No, I am not a churchgoing preaching freak, telling you will go to eternal damnation if you don’t do this or that. I don’t believe in any of that. I just simply love God, adore my husband and daughter and love my life. The threads of my life are embedded in gratitude. I am constantly amazed with the blessings I see and have received. This blog will serve myself and hopefully you, a moment to direct my thoughts to documenting the magic that occurs in life. Thanks for joining me.
